The Los Rios Student Health & Wellness Centers offer several sexual health resources, including free condoms (internal and external), lubricant, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, and more.

The following is a list of community-based organizations that provide additional sexual health resources, including birth control, pregnancy testing, and sexually transmitted disease/infection (STD/STI)/HIV testing.

Sacramento County Sexual Health Clinic

The Sexual Health Promotion Unit (SHPU) works to provide comprehensive STD/STI services through education, awareness, and access. Their guiding values are reducing the stigma of sexuality, empowering individuals to be in control of their sexual health and well-being, providing non-judgmental services, and ensuring health equity.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood provides reproductive health care, including: birth control; pregnancy testing and services; emergency contraception (morning-after pill); abortion; HIV testing; STD testing, treatment, and vaccines; LGBT services; and men's and women's general health care.

One Community Health

One Community Health offers testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and Syphilis – by walk-in or by appointment – as well as HIV treatment and planning.

WellSpace Health

WellSpace Health provides a comprehensive range of high-quality medical care, dental services for children and adolescents, and mental health and behavioral health services to underserved populations. Fee/payment is on a sliding scale.

Sac Valley Pregnancy Clinic and Sacramento Life Center

Sac Valley Pregnancy Clinic offers free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STD testing and treatment, Well Women exams (PAP), non-diagnostic ultrasound to confirm pregnancy, resources and referrals to community organizations, and assistance for men and women suffering from the pain of a past abortion. They do not perform abortions. They can assist with prenatal vitamins and baby items. All services are free and confidential.

Sacramento Life Center also helps pregnant women and teenage girls access free or low-cost medical care and offers OB/GYN referrals.

Golden Rule Services

Golden Rule Services offers free, confidential, low-stress rapid testing for HIV, Hepatitis C (HCV), Chlamydia, and Gonorrhea. Visit the website or call to make an appointment.

Harm Reduction Services

Harm Reduction Services offers free, confidential, rapid HIV and Hepatitis C testing, as well as Chlamydia and Gonorrhea testing. They offer training in Harm Reduction 101 and overdose training, including prevention, recognition, and response training. They also offer free Narcan, a syringe service program, and a free medical clinic. The mobile unit serves the greater Sacramento region; call (916) 247-2335 for times and locations.

Sunburst Clinic

Sunburst Clinic offers a variety of free services – including free HIV and HCV testing as well as low-cost STI testing – at the clinic in the Arden area of Sacramento.

Sacramento LGBT Community Center

Sacramento LGBT Community Center offers free and confidential HIV/HCV counseling and testing on-site and throughout the region with their mobile testing unit.

Pucci's Pharmacy

Pucci's Pharmacy offers free, rapid finger stick point-of-care HIV and HCV testing, as well as other STIs, including Syphilis, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia. If you test positive for any STI, their pharmacists can treat you and any sexual partners. Pucci's Pharmacy may also initiate a prescription for HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and HIV Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) within 72 hours of HIV exposure. MPOX vaccine, flu vaccine, and other vaccines are also available (insurance billing may apply).

Gender Health Center

The Gender Health Center provides services, resources, and support to the transgender and gender-diverse community. Offerings include assistance with legal name and gender marker changes, health care referrals, counseling services and support groups, letter assessments for hormone eligibility or gender-related surgery, a clothing swap, a hormone clinic, housing resources, and a state-certified harm reduction program.
