American River College Facilities

Home About Us Our Facilities

American River College offers an array of opportunities for the community, including dining at our Oak Café restaurant, visiting the Oak Café bakery, attending any of several live arts and entertainment campus events, or ARC Beavers intercollegiate sports events. Community groups can also rent college facilities for events.

In addition to American River College's main campus, several off-campus locations host college-credit classes: the Natomas Center, McClellan Center & Sacramento Regional Public Safety Center, and Mather Center.

Diane Bryant STEM Innovation Center

The Diane Bryant STEM Innovation Center is a three-story, 57,000 square foot building that officially opened in Fall 2021. The building provides critically needed infrastructure, contemporary classrooms, and laboratory spaces, which are essential for 21st century teaching and learning. Housed in the STEM building are classrooms and labs for STEM academics, the American River Immersive Education and Innovations Lab (ARIEL), and computer and statistics labs. The center replaced the college’s outdated Liberal Arts facilities that were built in the 1960s.

Evangelisti Culinary Arts Center

The ARC Evangelisti Culinary Arts Center is a 19,000 square-foot facility that opened in the fall of 2014. The project cost $10 million and more than doubled the teaching capacity to enable 100 more students to enroll each semester. The program is home to the student-run Oak Café restaurant, and the Oak Cafe Bakery.

The Oak Café Bakery is a student-run operation with proceeds supporting the program. The menu varies but typically includes coffee and tea, breakfast pastries, cookies/desserts, and lunch choices (like stuffed potatoes, single-serving pizzas, and quiche).

The Natomas Center offers the same credit classes as those taught on the ARC main campus, and students can complete most degree requirements as well. The center also offers counseling, assessment and other support services.

Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center

In addition to the college's main campus, college-credit classes are taught at the McClellan Center and offer the same credit as those taught on the main campus. The Regional Public Safety Training Center, operated by American River College, is dedicated to providing high quality training and educational programs for public safety personnel. The center offers entry-level and advanced, in-service instruction, in areas that meet the needs of individuals as well as public and private agencies.
