Exhibition of Paintings by New Adjunct Faculty Mahsan Ghazianzad
Mahsan Ghazianzad was born in Tehran, the capital city of Iran. She received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Sooreh University in Tehran, and pursued her MFA in studio art, painting, and drawing, at the University of Nevada, Reno. Mahsan has worked as an artist and art educator for many years and is currently adjunct art professor at AmericanRiverCollege, inSacramento.
Primarily interested in works that convey personal meaning, Mahsan captures the essence of her experiences through her paintings. She uses color, line, and shape in harmonies and abstract compositions to express emotions, thoughts, and sensations. A wide variety of sources influence Mahsan’s artwork including personal history, poetry, philosophy, and music.
