This class will explore the growing trends of substance abuse among teenagers and pre-teens. What are the “entry drugs”? What’s popular? In this series you will gain skills to equip caregivers with how to communicate with youth regarding the usage of drugs, alcohol and prevention. How to recognize signs of drug and alcohol use in teenagers and assist them with getting help or reduce the harm and support them into recovery. Part 1: We will focus on education regarding substance use, what are the factors that makes the children pre-disposed to use, information regarding the various drugs, and the illness itself.
