You may have heard of “teenage turbulence” or the “terrible teen years”, or maybe you are experiencing them first hand with your own teen at home. While there are lots of hardships youth go through during adolescence (the years between ages 10 to 19), there are also many exciting milestones and rites of passage on the road to adulthood that can be celebrated as well. This period of time can be overwhelming for youth and their families alike as teens struggle to keep up with the many changes to their body, mind, and social life that happen during adolescence. This class will explore these complex processes and what families can do to help their tween or teen sail more smoothly through what feels like the turbulent seas of teenagerhood.
