With that in mind it takes a well-prepared caregiver to survive parenting someone else's teen, especially if they have a trauma history. Trauma occurring during childhood or adolescence can have a substantial impact on adolescent development and permanently alter the way their brain functions. Each module will provide insight and intervention strategies to assist in your heroic attempt to be a supportive presence in a foster teen's life.
