As resource parents, you take on that same important role of teaching, guiding, and supporting them. In this class, we will discuss and explore methods to equip children for success.

Foster and Kinship Care: Surviving, Thriving Teens (6 Hours)Tuesday, October 6, 6:00 to 8:00 pm
Ask any parent, they will likely agree that parenting teens is not for the faint of heart. With that in mind it takes a well-prepared caregiver to survive parenting someone else's teen, especially if they have a trauma history. Trauma occurring during childhood or adolescence can have a substantial impact on adolescent development and permanently alter the way their brain functions. This course will be presented in three modules.
