This class provides an overview of how trauma affects children's brain development, behavior, emotions, and relationships. Participants will learn to recognize common signs of trauma, understand the impact of adverse experiences, and explore practical, trauma-informed strategies for supporting children with compassion and resilience.

Transfer Day at American River CollegeThursday, October 8, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
During this in-person transfer day at the ARC Student Center, students can learn about transferring to more than 50 colleges and universities, including CSU, UC, independent/private colleges/universities, and out-of-state colleges/universities. Pre-registration is not required.

Whole Family Foster Care is a placement option for pregnant and parenting dependent youth. This series will cover specifics of mentoring a teen to become a successful parent.

Featuring a live orchestra and a stellar, diverse cast ranging in age from 14 to 80+, the production brings the best of both student and community talent to the stage.
