Quick Start Guide

To access Los Rios online labs, please download and install Omnissa Horizon Client.  Follow these instructions to setup the client on your PC.

Step 1.

Open browser and go to https://vdi.losrios.edu/

Step 2.

When you see the following screen, click “Install Omnissa Horizon Client.”

Step 3.

Scroll down until you see “Omnissa Horizon Clients” then click the link at the right titled “View Download Components”

Step 4.

On the next page find the version that corresponds to the OS running on your computer, click “Go To Downloads”

Step 5.

Click “Download Now” for Omnissa Horizon Client

Agree and Install

Step 6.

Find the file on your computer you just downloaded, for Windows, it will be in the Downloads folder.  Double click the file to install.  At the end of installation, it will prompt you to restart the computer.  Be sure to save all your work before restarting the computer.

Step 7.

After restart you will see a new shortcut on the desktop with the name Omnissa Horizon Client. Double click the shortcut to start the application.

Step 8.

Click Add Server

Step 9.

Type https://vdi.losrios.edu for the connection server name and click Connect.

Step 10.

Login with your student W+ID and student password.

Step 11.

After successfully login you will see list of available virtual labs.
