While fees at ARC are less than those at state and private universities, the cost of books, supplies, and transportation are essentially the same. The average estimated cost for a student living independently is $20,000 a year (California Community Colleges). Because so many students rely on scholarships to help them pursue their academic goals, The ARC Office of Philanthropy awards scholarships to deserving students each year. By completing a single application, students are matched to any of the hundreds of available scholarship opportunities for which they qualify. Scholarships provide funds to ARC students who are continuing for their second year or transferring to a four-year institution.
A named scholarship can be created for $1,000 a year. The donor can select the criteria and meet the student recipients. For more information, contact Kirsten DuBray, Director of Donor Relations at (916) 484-8175. Or complete and submit the scholarship establishment form and we will connect with you to assist you with creating your named scholarship.
