ARC Respiratory Care Program

Admission and Application Information

We will not answer any questions or inquires regarding applicant status. We will send an email via the Los Rios Google Gmail apps to applicants who are admitted, placed on the alternate list, and those who were not selected to the RC program based on the lottery system.

The Respiratory Care Program will accept courses in progress (prerequisites) this application period due to special circumstances. Students in this category will need to complete the courses with the required grade. Priority will be given to students that have completed all of the prerequisites prior to the application period.

2026 Respiratory Care Application Update

The Respiratory Care Department at American River College is working on updating the 2026 Paramedic Application process.  A new digital and fully online process is expected to launch around the middle of September 2025. We expect the latest deadline for submission to be sometime near the third week in November. Please check back at this location for future updates and deadlines.  We appreciate your interest and look forward to better serving you very soon.  In preparation, we strongly suggest meeting with an ARC counselor to complete a RC Curriculum Planning Sheet.

(ALL) RC Program Applications must be the current application for the Spring 2026 semester
