Lavender Celebration

Celebrate 2026 LGBTQIA+ Graduates

Join us in-person to celebrate Los Rios 2026 LGBTQIA+ graduates on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the American River College Community Rooms. For students participating, please complete this form by April 22.

This space is for all Los Rios Community College District Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Two Spirit, Gender Fluid, Agender, Gender Queer, Non-Binary (LGBTQIA+) students to celebrate their educational achievements and an opportunity to share their struggles and triumphs along the way.

Lavender Celebrations (also known as Lavender Graduations) have been held at colleges across the country since 1995, and they allow the district's LGBTQIA+ students, faculty, and staff an opportunity to gather in community with friends, family, and chosen families to celebrate, share plans for the future, and mark the important transition from Los Rios Community Colleges to the next step in our students' journeys.
