Students must submit the FAFSA or CADAA and be enrolled in at least 12 units by the deadlines to be considered for the Los Rios Promise Program.

Students may still submit FAFSA or CADAA after this date, but priority is given on a first‐come first‐serve basis for campus-based funds. Additionally, students may not be considered for Cal Grant if they file after the deadline.

GPA Verifications are submitted electronically to the California Student Aid Commission by this date for statewide Cal Grant consideration if you have at least 16 degree-applicable units.

To ensure students are awarded aid the first week of the semester or the first week of attendance of classes, students must turn in all required documents and meet all eligibility standards by this date.

In addition to completing your file by the “File Completion” deadline, students must be enrolled in their courses that start at the beginning of the term to receive aid the first week of the semester. Students who add courses after this deadline may not receive payment for the courses added on the first week of classes. Students will not receive grants until the course(s) have started.

The amount of your Cal Grant eligibility will be based on the units you are enrolled in on this date. Students who add classes after this date will not receive a Cal Grant for the late added classes. Students who received Cal Grant funding prior to this date and dropped classes may be required to repay based on their current enrollment on this date. No adjustments will be made after this date.

Students who want to be considered for a Cal Grant from the California Student Aid Commission (for Community College students only) must complete a FAFSA or CADAA and be enrolled at a community college by this date. GPA Verifications are submitted electronically – see “Cal Grant GPA Verification”.

The amount of your Pell Grant eligibility will be based on the units you are enrolled in on this date. Students who add classes after this date will not receive a Pell Grant for the late added classes. Students who received Pell Grant funding prior to this date and dropped classes may be required to repay based on their current enrollment on this date. No adjustments will be made after this date.

Students who wish to receive a loan must submit their request by this date. Failure to meet the deadline may result in the denial of a loan.

Students who wish to submit an Appeal (Cost of Attendance, Satisfactory Academic Progress, Student Aid Index, or Unusual Circumstances) must submit their request by this date. Failure to meet the deadline will result in the denial of appeal.

Students seeking financial aid for the respective semester(s) should submit all requested documents by this date. Failure to complete your financial aid file by this date may forfeit your aid eligibility.

Students enrolled at the home college who are also attending another Los Rios college will have the other college units considered in their award offer and will be disbursed by their home college if they are enrolled in courses by the PRD for the term and the courses are required for their program of study.
