How To Log In
Log in to Handshake using your Los Rios student ID and password.
New students: New students receive access to Handshake on the first day of the semester in which they are enrolled.

Handshake's mobile app is an efficient tool to search and apply for jobs, discover and register for events, and more! The mobile app is free to download and use on iOS and Android devices.
How to get started with the mobile app:
- Download the Handshake Job & Careers app from Google Play or the iOS App Store.

- Open the application on your device.
- Search for Los Rios Community College District and select it from the dropdown menu.
- Select Continue with school login (SSO).
- Log in using your student ID and password.

If you are a faculty or staff member who wants to post an on-campus job or internship on Handshake, then contact the appropriate office at American River College:
Career Center
The ARC Career Center offers an array of resources to assist students in choosing career options, planning for college, preparing for employment, and researching current job openings. All services are provided at no charge.
Paid Industry Experience (PIE) Program
The PIE Program is an initiative to increase the number of students who find quality, paid internships. Employers can hire PIE-eligible students and be reimbursed for up to 100% of the student's wage.
Work Experience and Internship Program
We offer an experiential academic program that allows students to apply what they have learned in the classroom to a work environment while earning college credit.
WorkAbility III
The WorkAbility III (WAIII) program helps students with disabilities explore career opportunities, connect to internships, and find a job.
Apprenticeship
Gain occupational training that combines paid employment, on-the-job training, and job-related college instruction.
