About the Program
London...the capital city of England, with its population over eight million, boasts multicultural and historic boroughs, world-class museums, famous theaters, world renown concert halls and historic buildings. An exciting and easily maneuverable European city, London is a major political, financial and cultural center, graced with more parks and gardens than any other capital city in the world. The London program is administered in partnership with the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS).

A refund of the $450 deposit, less $150 processing and non-refundable deposit fees. After June 10, AIFS will not refund any of the $450 deposit. Students may also be subject to any non-refundable cancellation fees by AIFS after this date. - Depart U.S.: September 3, 2026

Coming Soon
- Student housing in a homestay or, for a supplemental fee, a student residence.
- Accommodation in a twin room in a homestay within a residential neighborhood (zones 3 or 4) including continental breakfast (cereal, toast, tea/coffee) daily, kitchen privileges and use of the laundry facilities (1 load/week.) Wi-Fi access is provided.
- For a supplemental fee of $2,995, students can choose to live in a twin room in a supervised student residence instead of a homestay. Each residence is fully furnished and equipped with cooking facilities, private bathrooms and access to Wi-Fi. *Residence housing is subject to availability.
- London Transport travel pass, valid for unlimited use on the buses and underground trains in travel zones 1 and 2 (for students in the residence) and zones 1, 2 and 3 or 4 (for students in homestays - depending on location) for the duration of the program.
- An orientation program in London consisting of a meeting with AIFS staff, covering topics such as general acclimation to London, safety and security issues, cultural differences, travel, money and cultural activities. Half-day sightseeing tour of London by private bus with the services of a professional guide. Workshops with local staff about life in London and the cultural differences the students will encounter and about travelling in the UK and Europe.
- Team of experienced Student Services staff to ensure the smooth running of the program, providing information and advice to students, organizing excursions and supervising housing. 24-hour on-call emergency service in London for the duration of the program.
- Access to the classrooms and student computer lab located in the AIFS Student Center in Kensington with free Internet, and access to free scanning and printing facilities. Weekly cultural program of heavily subsidized extra-curricular activities including day trips, walking tours, theatre and sporting events. Membership of the Imperial College Union, giving access to 370 Union clubs, facilities, societies and various Imperial College events.
- British Life and Culture course focusing on historical, political and cultural aspects of contemporary Britain, including local field trips.

All notification of withdrawal must be made in writing via email to customizedfacultyled@aifs.com or certified mail to: Customized, Faculty-Led Programs, AIFS Study Abroad, 1 High Ridge Park, Stamford, CT 06905. Postmark date or date of email is considered date of withdrawal. All withdrawal statements must be signed by the applicant, or they will not be processed.
If a student withdraws on or before Wednesday, June 10, 2026, a full refund will be made less $150, plus any non-refundable deposits paid either by the student or by AIFS on the student’s behalf.
If a student withdraws after Wednesday, June 10, 2026, but on or before Friday, July 10, 2026, the $450 deposit fee is forfeited, along with any non-refundable deposits paid either by the student or by AIFS on the student’s behalf. \
Students withdrawing voluntarily for any reason after Friday, July 10, 2026 receive no refund and students are responsible for full program fee.
AIFS Flights cannot be arranged for students applying after Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
Once the program has started, students withdrawing receive no refund under any circumstances. This refund policy is necessary because the booking of facilities in London requires substantial non-refundable payments and commitments by AIFS in advance.
Please note that students who are academically withdrawn by their home institutions after their applications have been processed by AIFS are subject to the standard refund policy.
