Attire: ARC School Spirit Day

Tuesday celebrates the heart of ARC — our community of care.

From the chalk-covered pathways to the lively STEM Quad, the day shines a light on the people, programs, and cultures that help every Beaver belong and succeed.

Featured Activities

Chalk the Walk (9:00–11:00 a.m., Various Locations — Starting Point: STEM Quad)

Start your morning with color and creativity!

Hosted by the Arts Department, Chalk the Walk invites students and staff to fill our campus walkways with affirmations of pride, identity, and encouragement.

Each message adds to the joyful pathway that will guide Thursday’s Wellness Walk — a visual reminder that care and creativity go hand in hand at ARC.

ARC Club Day & Resource Fair (10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m., STEM Quad)

This is the centerpiece of Beavers Care Day — and it’s for everyone who calls ARC home.

Students: Explore dozens of tables from clubs, programs, and campus services that exist to support you — academically, personally, and socially. Learn how to get involved, find your people, and access resources that can help you thrive.

Faculty, Classified Professionals, and Administrators: Use this as your chance to re-familiarize yourself with ARC’s many student services and support programs. Walk the quad, connect with departments, and gather new tools to help guide students to the right resources year-round.

The Resource Fair is a vibrant space of discovery — part celebration, part connection hub, and all about the community we’re building together.

ARC First Gen College Student Spotlight (10:00 AM - 2:00 PM : STEM Quad)

We’re honoring the resilience and achievements of first-generation college students — and the faculty, staff, and administrators who share that journey.

Write a Letter to Yourself, share your story, and connect with others who are first in their families to pursue higher education.

This event reminds us that every path to college is unique — and every student deserves to be seen and supported.

Día de los Muertos Celebration (10:00 AM - 1:00 PM : Student Center)

Step into a space of remembrance and beauty as El Centro and Puente host ARC’s annual Día de los Muertos celebration.

Enjoy a blessing from the Wilton Rancheria, performances from ARC’s Mariachi Club and Folklórico dancers, and creative activities like sugar skull painting and marigold making.

Bring a photo of a loved one to place on the community altar as we honor their lives and legacies.

ARC Instrumental Jazz (1:30 - 4:00 PM : Student Center)

As the day winds down, the Student Center comes alive with the smooth sound of live jazz performed by ARC’s talented music students, directed by Professor Dyne Eifertsen.

Relax with friends and soak in the rhythm of the afternoon.

Men’s Soccer - Latinx Heritage Celebration Game (3:00 PM : ARC Soccer Stadium)

Finish Beavers Care Day on the field, where ARC Athletics joins Latinos Unidos to celebrate culture, community, and school spirit.

Enjoy mariachi music, folklórico, treats from the Oak Café Bakery, and a halftime performance that will have the stands cheering.

Beavers Care Day reminds us that when we connect — across programs, roles, and experiences — we strengthen the community that makes ARC extraordinary.

Come for the fun, stay for the connections, and leave reminded that care is culture, and community is everything.
