Basic Needs Center

American River College Basic Needs Center is dedicated to supporting and empowering students by providing essential resources and services to address their basic needs—food, housing, accessing resources, and wellness. We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where every student can thrive academically and personally. Through collaboration with community partners and a commitment to advocacy, we aim to remove barriers to education, promote self-sufficiency, and foster a sense of belonging for all students on their journey to success.

The on-campus food pantry is completely free to all students.

On-Campus Food Pantry Guidelines:

  • Must be actively enrolled at American River College for the current academic semester
  • One student per household
  • Each student can visit once a week
  • Bring a reusable bag (if able)

The food pantry is meant to provide supplemental support to a student's weekly groceries.
