Overview of Available Housing Support
Beaver Homes offers a range of housing resources and services to eligible students who are experiencing housing insecurity or facing financial barriers to maintaining stable housing. Through specific grant programs, qualified students may be able to access:
- Security deposit assistance*
- Short-term rental support*
- Utility assistance (gas, electricity, water, etc.)*
- Emergency Transitional Hotel Vouchers
*At this time these resources are via a partnership with Lutheran Social Services (LSS) and only for ages 18 to 24 youth via LSS program eligibility.
These supports are available based on documented need, funding availability, and student eligibility. All students must participate in a case management process to determine the best fit for services.
Eligibility criteria include (but are not limited to):
- Being currently enrolled as a student
- Demonstrating financial need
- Having a Comprehensive Education Plan on file
- Facing housing instability (such as being unhoused, at risk of losing housing, or living in unsafe/unstable conditions)
- Being willing and available to engage in case management, budgeting, and follow-up meetings
How to Get Started
If you are currently experiencing housing instability or related challenges, we encourage you to submit the Housing Resources Request Form. Once we have received your form and have verified your eligibility, you will receive an email assigning a case manager, a link to schedule an intake meeting as well as their contact information within two business days.
