American River College's Associated Student Body (ASB) is the officially recognized student group that represents all students on campus. The ASB is divided into three sectors: Student Senate, Club and Events Board (CAEB), and Joint Budget Committee (JBC).

The ASB ensures that student voices are represented at the decision-making bodies of the college and district by investigating, writing, and passing legislation that addresses the needs and concerns of students. The ASB also promotes educational and retention activities on campus that stimulate the intellectual and social life of our students.

Constitution Timeline

  • The ARC Associated Student Body Constitution was approved March 29, 2011 by ASB for student body ratification.
  • Approved ASB Constitution by ARC student on April 23-24, 2024
  • Approved by Los Rios Board of Trustees, July 10, 2024

Meetings

Beginning March 1, 2023, per the Brown Act, all ASB meetings (including Club and Events Board, Student Senate, and Joint Budget Committee) will take place in the ARC Board Room or at the designated location stated on the agenda.
