Run for 2026-2027 Office

Thank you for your interest in running in a leadership position for American River College's Associated Student Body!

Reminder, you must be enrolled in five units at ARC, and have a cumulative GPA of over 2.0. The term begins July 1, 2026 and ends June 30, 2027. To be in accordance with the Brown Act, both Student Senate and Club and Events Board meetings will take place on ground for the 2026-27 academic year.  Please keep this in mind when running for office.

If you are running for an ARC position, you do not need to collect 50 signatures as done in previous elections pre-pandemic. Simply submit this form with all your information. Waiver forms and ASB Orientation dates will be emailed to you after you apply.

If applying for the 2026-27 Student Trustee position: per Los Rios regulations, you will need to collect 50 current student signatures with the student ID numbers included. Please contact the Center for Leadership and Development if you have more questions or concerns.  

Check email in the coming days after you register for next steps in the campaign process.

  • The application period for candidates begins March 2 at 8:00 am
  • The application deadline is March 31 at 5:00 pm

No applications will be accepted after this date.

ASB Candidate Application

American River College's Associated Student Body (ASB) is the officially recognized student group that represents all students on campus. The ASB is divided into three sectors: Student Senate, Club and Events Board (CAEB), and Joint Budget Committee (JBC).

The ASB ensures that student voices are represented at the decision-making bodies of the college and district by investigating, writing, and passing legislation that addresses the needs and concerns of students. The ASB also promotes educational and retention activities on campus that stimulate the intellectual and social life of our students.

Constitution Timeline

  • The ARC Associated Student Body Constitution was approved March 29, 2011 by ASB for student body ratification.
  • Approved ASB Constitution by ARC student on April 23-24, 2024
  • Approved by Los Rios Board of Trustees, July 10, 2024
