Joining a club is a great way to pursue your passion, interests, meet new friends, and network with professionals! American River College has more than 40 recognized student clubs on campus related to student life and academic development. Membership is open to all currently-enrolled students. Afghan Student Association (ASA)
The Afghan Student Association (ASA) exists to create a welcoming and inclusive space for Afghan and non-Afghan students to connect, share, and celebrate Afghan culture, traditions, and heritage. The club provides a supportive community for students of Afghan descent and fosters cross cultural understanding among the broader student body.
Aikido Club
Our passion is the martial art of Aikido. The practice of this art addresses creating a healthy, mental, and emotional state supports being physically fit, working well with others, and overall being a better human being.
AISES
This club would hopes to encourage other AI/AN students to engage with STEM fields and have access to support while doing so. We also hope achieve fund raisers to send select students to the annual AISES conference.
ARC Biomedical Research Club
The biomedical research club at provides pre-med students and science majors with a valuable opportunity to explore the mechanisms and complex functions of the human body under the guidance of experienced professionals.
ARC Volleyball Club
A fun, cooperative, inclusive, and safe environment for players to build a volleyball community! Form bonds, play games, build skills, make friends, and have fun! All skill and experience levels welcome
ARC Women's Lacrosse
The ARC Women's Lacrosse team is an exciting and fun opportunity for athletes to make new friends, develop lacrosse skills, and compete against other colleges and universities in California. We are committed to be a welcoming and inclusive community of student athletes.
American River College Honors Club
The ARC Honors Club is a community of motivated students dedicated to academic excellence, leadership, and personal growth. We support and celebrate members of the Honors Program while building connections through events, service, and shared goals.
American River Rugby Club
Our purpose and goals are to bring the student body together, create a sense of family, and win our highly competitive games. We plan to hold club meetings, practices, hold and play games. In this club, we build community and family. While doing this we train to be the best people and best team we can be on and off the field.
American Medical Student Association (AMSA)
AMSA at ARC's mission is to build a community for pre-medical or pre-nursing students to learn what it takes to be successful in a medical field. We strive to engage students with educational materials
American River Filmmaking Club
Some activities we hope to achieve are making films, holding screenings for films, small festivals for creators, and fundraising events.
Arts and Crafts Club
Arts and Crafts Club focuses on different crafts every week! From bracelet making to painting, we have it.
Bible Study
The Bible Study club is going through 1st and 2nd Timothy this fall semester.
Black Student Union (BSU)
The ARC-Black Student Union is a student led organization dedicated to building community, promoting cultural awareness, and fostering leadership and academic success.
Business Entrepreneurs
Our goal is to bring a community of students together who have a drive to start their own business. We offer networking opportunities, guest speakers, business case studies/analytics, start-up workshops.
Chess Club
Chess Club is not just about the game; it's also about building a community of like-minded individuals who appreciate the beauty and complexity of chess.
Circle K Club
The purpose of this club, Circle K, is to promote service, leadership, and fellowship among members.
Computer Science Club
Our club is a dynamic community that welcomes students with a passion for coding, programming, and all things tech-related.
Dungeons & Dragons Club (D&D Club)
To give students a place to meet other people interested in D&D and TTRPG as a whole, and to build a community through fun activities. It's a place for TTRPG players to get together, play games, make characters, paint minis, etc. We're also planning special events like movie & trivia nights.
ELLIS (English Language Learner & Immigrant Support)
The primary focus of ELLIS Club is to help newcomers understand and navigate the cultural expectations of being a college student and community member in the United States.
Engineering Club
The purpose of the Engineering Club is to provide students across all disciplines of Engineering with frequent opportunities to expand their knowledge, skills, and connections.
F.A.L.D.A
Our purpose is to bring representation to our school through dance from different regions of Mexico. Our goal is to perform at schools events and possibly outside of school.
Future Business Leaders of America
Future Business Leaders of America is a student club here at ARC inspired to help students prepare for careers in business through academic competitions, career and educational experiences.
Higher Self-Empowerment
The goal is to be uplifting and encouraging others to be the best version of themselves.
Latinos Unidos
Our club is dedicated to celebrating and sharing Latin culture while building a welcoming community for all students. We aim to create opportunities for connection, growth, and fun through cultural events, games, and activities.
Magic the Gathering club
Our goal is to provide club members with a space to meet like-minded individuals and teach on-the-fly decision making & develop a strategic mind through various Trading Card Games.
Mock Trial Club
The Mock Trial Club at American River College provides students with hands-on experience in courtroom procedures while building skills in debate, public speaking, and critical thinking. We meet to practice real trial procedures, prepare for competitions, and support each other in developing strong communication and critical thinking skills.
Model United Nations
The ARC-MUN provides a positive and fun environment for further learning. Not only will you learn more about the world but also will meet a very outgoing group of people.
Mujeres In Health Alliance ( MIHA)
This club will bring all women together to encourage each other to finish degrees, certificates, etc to increase the rate of students who identify as Latinx, Hispanic, & ChicanX, to succeed in their higher education and respectfully move on from ARC.
Muslim Student Association
The aims and the purposes of the Muslim Students Association are to serve the best interest of Islam, of the Muslims at American River College and of its members.
Native American Student Union (NASU)
The purpose of NASU is to cultivate a culturally grounded space where Native American and Indigenous-identifying students can come together in community, healing, and celebration.
National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at ARC
NSBE at ARC is a student-led chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. We are dedicated to creating a supportive community for future STEM professionals. Through professional development, community engagement, and various resources, we advocate for equity and success for all students in STEM.
Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
For more than 100 years, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society has helped millions of high-achieving college students reach their full potential.
Psi Beta Honor Society / Psychology Club
The Psychology Club is an inclusive club for all American River College students interested in topics related to psychology. The Psi Beta Honor Society, as part of the Psychology Club, is to encourage professional development and psychological literacy of all students at two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.
Public Safety Club
The Public Safety Club is established to promote knowledge, professional development, and networking opportunities for students interested in careers in: Law Enforcement, Firefighting, Emergency Medical Services (EMS), and Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) fields.
PUENTE Club
The Puente Club works to promote the number of underrepresented students who attend college. We also focus on community service and provide social activities, attend club days, and go on field trips to universities.
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
We are an organization dedicated to empowering and advancing Hispanics in STEM by providing students with a range of resources, including educational support, development workshops, and beneficial opportunities. Allowing students to express their ideas and concerns in a group setting with peers who share similar experiences helps create a space for networking and peer interaction that hopefully fosters the growth of our ARC chapter's community. While we focus on supporting students of Hispanic descent, everyone is welcome to participate.
Student Nurse Association
The American River College Student Nurses Association is a community of future nurse professionals dedicated to furthering the discipline of nursing, promoting the many dimensions of holistic wellness, and advocating for the health and wellness of vulnerable populations.
Take a Hike
The goal of the club is to get students connected to the outdoors and meet like-minded people.
The Sustainable Fashion Club
The Sustainable Fashion Club is a community for students who love fashion but also care about the planet. We focus on creativity and self-expression through thrifting, upcycling, swapping, and reusing clothing, while raising awareness about the impact of fast fashion. Our goal is to make sustainable style fun, accessible, and collaborative for everyone at ARC.
Women in STEM
Our goal is to encourage women and femme-aligned people to pursue STEM degrees. We will be doing our best to offer a space where students can connect with each other, learn something new, and enjoy their time in college.
