Event Overview
Celebrate ARC’s 70th anniversary in true Beaver spirit! Before the big game, join us for a festive tailgate and spirit rally filled with food, fun, music, and community pride. Students, staff, alumni, families, and community partners are all invited to be part of this tradition-in-the-making. Rain or Shine: The Homecoming Tailgate will take place regardless of weather. Please plan accordingly — tents are required for all hosts.
Featured Activities
Tailgate Sign-Ups
- Host a Tent (10x10):
- ARC programs, departments, student clubs, and senates: Free of charge (ARC hosts are encouraged to bring their own tents if possible).
- Community organizations/businesses: $500 sponsorship per tent (discount available if bringing your own tent).
- Tent Amenities: Participants will receive sign-making supplies. A Best Tent Sign & Decorations Competition will award prizes for creativity, ARC pride, and 70th Anniversary spirit.
- Don’t have a tent? Let us know on the sign-up form—we’ll provide one if available.
Entertainment & Activities
- Main Stage: Two emcees and a live DJ keeping the energy high.
- Tent Square: All tents will be within close proximity to the stage, creating a spirited ARC pride zone.
- Decor & Spirit: Balloons, ARC colors, and plenty of Bucky the Beaver appearances.
Special Performances:

- Music Department halftime showcase.
- Athletics “Parade of Teams” during halftime.
- Throwback tribute performance featuring alumni dancers and theatre students honoring beloved ARC dance coach Sunny Smith.
- Games & Family Fun: Arcade games, inflatable activities, and a dedicated Kid Zone.
- Feeder School Welcome Rally (inside stadium): Music, Bucky appearances, and welcome messages celebrating visiting schools.
- Optional Mini Self-Guided Campus Tours: Highlighting ARC’s athletics facilities, arts spaces, and horticulture gardens — designed especially for younger visitors and families.
- Día de los Muertos Event (TBD): Honoring tradition and culture with an engaging community celebration connected to the week of Homecoming.
Community Impact
- Food Pantry Drive: Bring non-perishable food items and be entered into a raffle for prizes (sponsorship opportunities available).
- 50/50 Raffle: Win cash while supporting student programs.
Food & Refreshments
- Food trucks and local vendors on site.
- Hoping to feature free samples and giveaways from Sacramento businesses.
