Event Overview
Friday is all about honoring the people who make ARC thrive — our staff and faculty. With “Bringing Back the Break Room with Bucky,” team-building games, art activities, and cultural events, this day creates opportunities for recognition, connection, and appreciation. From morning gatherings to evening soccer festivities, Beaver Family Day brings colleagues, students, and community together.
Featured Activities
Bringing Back the Break Room with Bucky (Morning Breakfast / Reception)
- Hosted by President Cardoza in the Student Center.
- A playful “break room” atmosphere with ARC Bakery treats, coffee, and lounge-style seating for connection.
- Depending on resources, can be expanded into a full breakfast with Culinary Arts support or kept as a light reception (pastries, fruit, coffee/tea).
- Includes networking & relaxation spaces with music and casual seating to recreate a community break room vibe.
- Bucky the Beaver Photo Opportunity → snap a fun picture with ARC’s mascot while enjoying the break room.
- Traveling coffee cart will circulate around campus for staff unable to attend in person.
- Lighthearted competitions to bring departments together, including: Cornhole, Trivia, Mini-games designed to spark teamwork and friendly rivalry.
Office Décor Contest Judging & Awards
- ASB-led judging of campus offices decorated around the theme: “70 Years of ARC.”
- Winners announced and celebrated for creativity, spirit, and community-building.
Art in Action

Día de los Muertos (TBD)
- Possible cultural celebration event tied to Homecoming Week and community traditions.
Latinx Soccer Celebration Game (TBD)
- 3:00 PM Women’s Match and 6:00 PM Men’s Match — pending confirmation.
- Festivities could include food, mariachi music, giveaways, and a halftime cultural dance/honoring performance.
- Optional Giveaway: Exploring the possibility of reusable aluminum water bottles in partnership with Canteen (pending approval and budget).
Community Impact
- Celebrates the contributions of ARC staff and faculty with a lighthearted “break room” experience featuring Bucky.
- Builds stronger workplace connections through shared food, networking, and playful activities.
- Invites creativity and cultural expression through art and potential Día de los Muertos activities.
