National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at ARC

Our Purpose

The purpose of this organization shall coincide with those of the National Society of Black Engineers. The objectives shall include programs that serve to stimulate and develop student interest in engineering; to strive to promote participation at all levels of responsibility in the field of engineering by the black communities; and to endeavor in the advancement of black professional engineers within the individual engineering disciplines.

Activities :

  1. Attend Regional and National NSBE conferences and events
  2. Host Professional Development Workshops (resume, LinkedIn, interviewing, internships) for students in Stem
  3. Host Events and and Presentations from Engineering Professionals and possible Paneling
  4. Provide skills workshops and opportunities for technical skill development. 
  5. Go on site visits to Company's, Engineering associations and colleges in the area to gain exposure to engineering environments.
  6. Give back to our community through volunteer efforts and mentorship
