Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)

We are an organization dedicated to empowering and advancing Hispanics in STEM by providing students with a range of resources, including educational support, development workshops, and beneficial opportunities. Allowing students to express their ideas and concerns in a group setting with peers who share similar experiences helps create a space for networking and peer interaction that hopefully fosters the growth of our ARC chapter's community. While we focus on supporting students of Hispanic descent, everyone is welcome to participate.

SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) is a national association with its main focus to empower all STEM majors by providing them with access to other resources, support, development and opportunities. A few goals in mind include expanding chapter membership, membership retention, and creating a self sufficient program that lives beyond our time at ARC.  SHPE consist of fundraising for events, hosting professional development workshops such as resume/CAD workshops, networking trips, and support such as tutoring and peer mentorship.

We are starting the year with weekly meetings, alternating from Wednesday at 1;00 pm or Tuesday at 12:00 pm, however we wish to later switch to bi-weekly.
