ARC Child Development Center
The Child Development Center provides early care and development experiences for children while their parents are attending classes or working. The Child Development Center also supports the Early Childhood Education college students as they prepare for careers in the Early Care and Education field.
Lactation Rooms
In order to better support students, staff, and faculty who are breastfeeding their baby, American River College is pleased to provide lactation rooms. Lactation rooms are located:
- Inside the Child Development Center
- In the Student Center building (students check in at the Center for Leadership and Development)
- In the Beaver Cares Center, inside the Welcome and Support Center building
Diaper Changing Stations
Changing stations are located:
- In the bathrooms located right outside the Child Development Center
- In the Beaver Cares Center, inside the Welcome and Support Center building
ARC Campus Support Services
Priority Registration for Student-Parents
California State law establishes priority registration for student-parents who have dependent children under the age of 18 and provide support to children for at least 50% of the year.
- Student-parents who may be eligible for priority registration (based on the information they submitted on the CCCApply and/or California Promise Grant application) will receive an email letting them know the steps to verify their eligibility.
- For spring 2025, the verification process deadline is Tuesday, November 5.
