EOP&S Services Provided

Program participation and program services primarily occur during the Fall and Spring semesters. Summer enrollment is not required. Counseling services are still available for current participants during the summer term. Units earned during the summer term will be added to a student’s total degree applicable units.

All newly admitted and continuing student participants in the ARC EOP&S/CARE/NextUp Program who remain in good eligibility standing will receive the following services:

  • Academic, career, and short-term personal counseling, including individualized educational plans to support the successful completion of goals and academic objectives (only current participants can meet with EOP&S/CARE/NextUp counselors)
  • Priority Registration for continuing semester enrollment
  • Monetary support services to assist with books and other educational supplies (monetary awards are dependent upon the student’s financial aid status and unmet need)
*Additional assistance with textbooks can be found at the ARC Library and financial resources through Beaver Cares
  • Referrals to services such as transfer, tutoring, career and financial aid
  • Skill development support through workshops. Topics may include study skills, money management, career exploration, and other personal development topics.
  • A graduation regalia package (includes cap, gown, and tassel) will be purchased along with an EOPS sash/stole for EOPS student participants in good standing, who petition to graduate for either the fall or spring of the current academic year and who plan to participate in the college’s graduation ceremony during the spring term of that same year.
  • Application fees for eligible EOP&S students prepared to apply for transfer to CSU or UC universities.
  • Initial membership fees for Phi Theta Kappa honor society for eligible EOP&S students, invited based on maintaining a 3.50 GPA or higher.
  • Please discuss with a program Counselor or the Coordinator about the possibility of any additional education-related resources.
